The strawberry-infused rum is a at the heart of this romantic cocktail created by bartender Will Thompson.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 oz. Strawberry-infused Rhum Barbancourt
3/4 oz. Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 oz. Strawberry Demerara Syrup*
2 dashes Tabasco
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
*Strawberry Demerara Syrup-
Add 8 ounces Semarara sugar and 8 ounces of water to a saucepan over low heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Add 1 cup of finely chopped strawberries. Bring to a low boil, then allow to cool completely.
Strain out the solids. Will keep, refrigerated in an airtight container, for up to 1 month.
